Popular Banned Apps from the Playstore

"you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villian" - joker

This quote is very much applicable to the apps which gained instant popularity and were banned from the playstore after negative stuffs were raised.

Here is the list of apps which came under the hammer. But still popular in the black market.

Tv portal.

One does forget torrent after installing this app. It has a wide collection of movies and tv shows. Very easy to use and search. One can download or stream the content. It's obvious Google banned it due to copyright issues.

Dood's music streamer.

This app streams music. The best part is one can cache songs so that making it available offline. Similar to pandora and grooveshark.

Amazon appstore.

The only reason why amazon appstore still is popular amongst android users is for it's daily free apps. Otherwise there is nothing great about this appstore that makes it better off than the Google playstore. It also offers a free song every single day, and it's legal.

Ad-away.

This app will almost be present in every rooted android phone.
Who wants ads running?
As the name says, ads away. Yes you install this app and there will never be ads. It's like throwing ads to dustbin.
But on the other side. Developers would have taken lot of pains to develop an app. So ads are source of income to them.
So it's how you see it.

Grooveshark

It's same as Pandora and Dood's music streamer. There is no harm in trying this. Because you never know which you will like.
Make me Asian
It is a racist app. Mocking at Asians and their style.
This app asks the user to upload photos and edit his face like adding a moustache, hat etc.
After many campaigns in social media. This app was removed from Google play store

Secret sms replicator.

This app when installed used to run in the background and send every msg to a pre stored number given while setting up the software. Privacy concerns were raised and was banned. But it's still popular in the market as everyone wants to know what their loved one's are doing.

PSX4droid

This is a PlayStation one emulator. Allowing you to play the PlayStation one games on your android device.

Tubemate.

This app allows user to download videos from YouTube. It was very easy to use and videos could be downloaded in a click.
After this app was banned. Mediaclip is gaining popularity on the playstore as it does the same job.

Rush poker.

As the name suggests. It is an app to play poker. But what makes it different and what got it banned was. People play with real money. Yes REAL MONEY.
Since gambling was not supported by Google,it was removed within a week.

Siri for android.

This app was an instant hit as it emulated Siri originally available in ios.

imessage chat

This app allowed android users to chat with friends on imessage, a popular messaging app in ios devices. The message was first sent to servers in China then reached the destination. This clearly allowed malware to sneak into the phone in background without the knowledge of the user.

All the above mentioned apps are still available in the black market. Just Google for
" (the app name) apk download ".
